Topic: Fiduciary Income Tax Reporting After the Tax Reform Act



Attendees will gain an understanding of:

  • the practical impact of the 2017 tax reform law on trust and estate tax reporting
  • specific changes to fiduciary deductions as a result of the new law
  • the way in which distributable net income (DNI) calculations will deviate from fiduciary accounting income (FAI)

The presentation will also offer concrete guidance on steps fiduciary advisers and tax preparers may take to achieve beneficial tax results and what planners should consider when setting up trusts.
